The local, national, and global implications for California’s policies are massive, so Asm. Rivas embarked on a statewide tour to learn what needs to be addressed firsthand. The identity reflects its subject matter and leans into its personal nature; the wordmark’s serif, Grenette, is inspired by early 20th century woodcut classics and features plenty of warmth in its contrasting features. A seal similar to those used in the agricultural industry was also created to pair with the wordmark or stand on its own. Additional work includes a template for Asm. Rivas’ daily itineraries, another for press releases, a set of logo stickers, and a fully illustrated map of the state and his tour stops.
