This paper fills that gap by analyzing the text of 1.5 million Spanish online job ads posted between 2018 and 2024. Using Natural Language Processing methods, I extract detailed measures of advertised wage and nonwage job attributes, and link them to skill requirements, firms, and labor market structure. Three main findings emerge. First, amenities are sharply segmented. Firm-specific practices explain a large share of variation in contractible working conditions, while skill demands dominate more intangible amenities such as workplace culture and job content. Second, skill demands themselves strongly predict nonwage job quality. Jobs requiring social, managerial and digital skills consistently advertise richer bundles of non-wage amenities, indicating that the returns to skills extend beyond pay. Third, employer concentration is associated with systematically poorer advertised working conditions, particularly along dimensions related to job design, scheduling, and stability, even when posted wages respond weakly. Together, these results show that job quality is jointly shaped by the skill content of work and the structure of local labor markets, with important implications for worker welfare, skill development, and labor-market competition.
