Over the course of three years, our studio curated, designed, and housed fourteen exhibitions and numerous public programs with Na Kim, Herman Miller, Bonnie Siegler, Scott Lindberg, and many others. Oftentimes the exhibitions and events coordinated with themes from our visiting lecturers as part of our Design Lecture Series. Many of the exhibitions interrogated graphic designs’ role in social progress, cultural dialogue, and consumerism. In 2020, following the brief opening of “AS, NOT FOR: Dethroning Our Absolutes – An incomplete historical survey of work created by African-American graphic designers over the last century” by Jerome Harris, COVID forced us to close the exhibition space to the public. In time, our studio made the decision to go fully remote, with our team spreading across the US and Europe. In this new era, our studio is now pursuing projects that reach new audiences by curating and designing exhibitions in other spaces, holding virtual events, and producing workshops and giving talks. Most recently, we collaborated with Tré Seals, founder of Vocal Type Co., on “Characters: Type + Progress.” The exhibition was on display at The Branch Museum of Architecture + Design in 2023 and will be at the Museum of Design–Atlanta in 2024. - Page content: Non-Breaking Space opened in 2017 with The Design of Dissent, a collaboration with Milton Glaser and Mirko Ilic, in response to the inauguration of Donald Trump. - [ ## Button Power ](./exhibit/button-power/) - [ ## As, Not For: Dethroning Our Absolutes ](./exhibit/as-not-for-dethroning-our-absolutes/) - [ ## "Health is a human right, not a privilege to be purchased" ](./exhibit/health-is-a-human-right-not-a-privilege-to-be-purchased/) - [ ## COLLECTED November 30, 2019 — January 30, 2020 ](./exhibit/collected/) - [ ## On Display August 1 — October 16, 2019 ](./exhibit/on-display/) - [ ## The Shape of Sound May 2 — July 18, 2019 ](./exhibit/the-shape-of-sound/) - [ ## Na Kim Set v.15 February 7 — April 9, 2019 ](./exhibit/na-kim-set-v-15/) - [ ## Homework December 6 — December 21, 2018 ](./exhibit/homework/) - [ ## Signs of Resistance September 20 — November 29, 2018 ](./exhibit/signs-of-resistance/) - [ ## Volume July 12 — August 29, 2018 ](./exhibit/volume/) - [ ## A Series of Shapes April 5 — May 31, 2018 ](./exhibit/a-series-of-shapes/) - [ ## Survey I: Culture February 1 — March 23, 2018 ](./exhibit/survey-i-culture/) - [ ## Open‑Editions December 2 — December 23, 2017 ](./exhibit/open-editions/) - [ ## Tolerance September 7 — November 30, 2017 ](./exhibit/tolerance/) - [ ## The Design of Dissent February 2 — June 16, 2017 ](./exhibit/the-design-of-dissent/).
