Indirect Flights

Indirect Flights serves as a digital canvas for the experimental multimedia works of Joe Hamilton. The website functions less as a traditional portfolio and more as an immersive, non-linear art experience, utilizing a collage-based aesthetic that merges industrial textures, aerial landscapes, and thick, impasto brushstrokes. It is designed for an audience of art enthusiasts, curators, and digital experimentalists who appreciate the intersection of physical materiality and digital composition. The visual identity is unapologetically avant-garde and tactile. By layering disparate elements—such as chain-link fences, weathered brickwork, and satellite imagery—the site creates a sense of depth and controlled chaos. The design rejects standard web conventions in favor of a maximalist, collage-driven approach that emphasizes texture, shadow, and the raw energy of mixed-media assemblage.
