Techies is a poignant digital portrait gallery dedicated to humanizing the Silicon Valley landscape. By centering the stories of underrepresented professionals—including women, people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, and older workers—the project challenges the monolithic tech narrative and advocates for a more inclusive industry identity. The visual identity is defined by a sophisticated, editorial minimalism. Utilizing a clean grid of high-quality portraiture against consistent dark backgrounds, the design allows the subjects' humanity to take center stage. The use of ample whitespace, refined typography, and a muted, cream-toned palette creates a respectful and dignified atmosphere, positioning the site more as a curated art exhibition than a standard directory.
