The Armenian Genocide

The Armenian Genocide project is a profound digital memorial designed to educate and honor the memory of the victims through a powerful, immersive storytelling experience. The website serves as a historical archive and educational resource, utilizing high-impact visual elements to convey the gravity of the systematic massacres that occurred between 1915 and 1917. The visual identity is defined by a somber, high-contrast aesthetic that employs a dramatic palette of deep blacks, stark whites, and blood reds. Bold, oversized serif typography dominates the layout, creating a sense of urgency and monumental importance. The design uses cinematic imagery and a minimalist, dark-mode interface to ensure that the historical narrative remains the central focus, evoking deep emotional resonance from its audience of historians, students, and the Armenian diaspora.
